Each twelve-month calendar comes complete with the Mayan 260-day calendar. Called the Tzolkin this calendar is the same mysterious time sequence used by the Maya, and all Mesoamerican cultures, upon which the 2012 end time prophesies are based. Every calendar is equipped with a simple manual for use, an easy glossary of terms, and original photographs of exotic Mayan cities located throughout southern Mexico and central America.
Each calendar sold contributes to the completion of an exciting and provocative Historical-Fiction/Fantasy novel titled The Mystic of the Maya. The novel is set within the great capitol city-state of Tikal and focuses on the twenty years leading to its collapse and abandonment in the 9th Century AD. The story follows the life of Tikals last known King, Jasaw Kaan K’awill II, and his struggle against his own son, Pakal Kaan K’awill, who’s prophetic birth and magical existence threatens his ambitions to unify all the Mayan city-states under his Empire.
